Car Accident Injuries

     If you've been injured in a car accident, Andris Law can help you.  The first thing to remember if you've been in an accident is that you should not wait to contact an attorney, even if you do not believe you have been seriously injured.  Often times, people sustain latent injuries as the result of a car accident and symptoms may get worse over time or not manifest for days, sometimes weeks after the accident.  Therefore, it is important that you retain counsel immediately so that your attorney can get involved early and protect your interests.  For example, there may be skid marks or other forensic evidence at the scene of the accident, so your attorney will want to visit the scene, possibly with an accident reconstructionist or other forensic expert to begin an investigation to determine who may be liable for the accident.

     In addition to starting an investigation right away, Andris Law can help you with any questions you may have about your auto and health insurance.  There are different types of insurance coverage that come into play when you are injured in an accident, and an experienced attorney can help you understand those coverages.  For example, you may or may not have UM/UIM coverage available to you if the other driver does not have enough liability coverage to compensate you.  Another example is your tort option and how it may affect your right to recovery damages for pain and suffering.
